The festivals of Eid
ul Adha, the day when the dead are brought back to life, are among the major
religious observances in the Islamic religion. They celebrate the Day of
Judgment between God and man by giving out a feast, laying flowers and placing
figurines of the dead, which are called Duaar.
In fact, the festival
of Eid
ul Adha was founded by the Prophet of Islam, Ibrahim. He did so in
order to calm the fears of his people after their recent battlefield defeats.
He said that the coming of the Day of Judgment would bring peace and calmness
to the people of God. It is believed that this is the reason why the prophet
named the feast "Eid ul Adha" which means Feast of the Return.
Eid ul Adha
commemorates the Day when Allah sent his Messenger, Muhammad, to his people and
told him to warn them to be peaceful. It is believed that this is why Muslims
never argue with each other. Thus, the prophet taught his followers to be calm
and not to argue with others. He reminded them to be calm and tolerant and not
to show anger or frustration.
When it comes to Eid
ul Adha, a great number of families send out their youngest ones to the nearest
mosque for a party. Then they usually stay for the entire night or until dawn,
except when there is an emergency like a plane crash. The Eid celebrations
involve a lot of eating, drinking and dancing, so it's a good idea to get there
early.
There are certain
things that you should consider before going to Eid ul Adha. The first thing
that you need to consider is the type of clothing that you need to wear. You
should always bring some traditional Arabic clothing that is similar to the
traditional clothes worn during the time of the prophet. It is also a good idea
to bring some shoes as well because the children will most likely not be
wearing anything.
You can choose to
dress in jeans and tops or dresses. Traditionally, women wear long gowns with
hijabs over their heads. However, the younger generation usually don't follow
the tradition of wearing hijabs, so a traditional outfit can work as well.
If you are planning to
bring your own duaar, make sure that they are authentic and that the contents
of the Duaar are not obscene. You can bring a doll that resembles the prophet
and has all the decorations that represent him. This will give you peace of
mind that no one will be offended by your duaar. If you are traveling with
someone else, it is important that they also bring sugar that depict the
prophet.
After Eid ul Adha,
don't forget to bring along some sweets. These will be eaten during the entire
celebration. In fact, if you have a child that you want to take to an Eid ul
Adha party, make sure that you let them accompany you so that you do not feel
left out.
